In my yoga journey, I’ve found that dedicating my practice to the divine has opened me up in ways I never imagined. As a woman, I’ve been particularly drawn to the path of Bhakti Yoga, which emphasizes devotion, love, and surrender to the divine. For me, this divine energy takes the form of the Goddess, the embodiment of feminine wisdom, power, and grace. Through my Bhakti Yoga practice, I’ve discovered a deep well of love and reverence for the divine feminine. I’ve learned to see the Goddess in all her many forms — as the nurturing, life-giving Mother, the fierce and protective Warrior, the wise and intuitive Crone. I’ve come to understand that the Goddess is not just a symbol, but a living, breathing presence that infuses all of creation with her sacred energy.

One of the ways I’ve been able to deepen my connection to the Goddess is through the creation of an altar. My altar is a sacred space where I can come to offer my devotion, gratitude, and prayers. It’s a place where I can light candles, burn incense, and surround myself with images and symbols that represent the divine feminine. Some of the elements I’ve included on my altar are:

  • A statue or image of the Goddess in one of her many forms (e.g., Kali, Durga, Lakshmi, Saraswati)
  • Flowers, fruits, and other natural offerings
  • Candles in colors associated with the Goddess (e.g., red, pink, purple, white)
  • Incense or essential oils with feminine, floral scents
  • Crystals and stones with feminine energy (e.g., rose quartz, moonstone, amethyst)
  • Sacred texts or poetry that honor the divine feminine

As I’ve deepened my Bhakti Yoga practice, I’ve noticed a shift in my energy and outlook. I feel more grounded, centered, and connected to something larger than myself.

I’ve also noticed a greater sense of self-love, self-acceptance, and self-trust. I’m more in touch with my intuition and my ability to navigate life’s challenges with grace and resilience.

If you’re feeling called to explore the path of Bhakti Yoga and deepen your connection to the divine feminine, I encourage you to start by creating an altar that resonates with you.

Let it be a place where you can come to express your love, gratitude, and devotion. And remember, the Goddess is not just an external force, but a living presence within you.

By honoring her, you honor the divine spark that lives within your own heart. For personalized guidance and support in your yoga journey, please feel free to contact me on my website or Instagram.
